18th Century Petticoat
Hand finished petticoat, suitable for re-enactment for the 18th century.
This would would been worn as a foundation garment under a second or third skirt, or over a warm heavyweight petticoat. It could be seen or hidden, either co-ordinating or contrasting against other colours in an outfit.
Eighteenth Century Petticoats were worn over skirt supports, such as bumrolls, bum pads and false rumps. These would keep the skirts out from the feet, whilst also maintaining the fashionable shape!
Bum rolls are also available in the shop!
